Today has seen the launch of our 2022 STEM Lecture Programme with seven fascinating on-line lectures planned, led by top academics and STEM ambassadors from across the country. Following the success of last year’s first ever on-line programme we are using this format again for 2022. This allows us to keep people safe and to reach even more people than we did previously with the in-person lectures.
A video link of each lecture will be available via the School’s website at 9:00am on the release days. The lectures are based on Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths ‘hot topics’ and will show how STEM subjects affect our lives and what current research trends are. The topics have been chosen to build on and extend elements of the GCSE and A Level programmes of study. Scan the QR code or click STEM Lectures – Denbigh School, Milton Keynes to access full details of the programme.
We kick-off this year’s programme with Dr Laura Fox, STEM Ambassador at the University of Manchester who will outline her role as a scientist with a focus on ‘how to kill bacteria’. This lecture will be available to view from 9:00am on Wednesday 12th January. For more information please contact stemlectures@denbigh.net or telephone: 01908 330529.
