We are thrilled that pieces from three of our talented artists have been selected for display at the MK Open Art Exhibition 2021 which is being held at the Westbury Arts Centre from 10th to 18th July. The ‘Young Artist of the Year’ competition results are also being revealed at the Exhibition.
The Exhibition is available to visit both in person and virtually with booking details available at www.westburyartscentre.org.uk. A panel of judges selected the pieces that are to be displayed from entries from artists from across MK and the surrounding areas. The works were produced in a wide range of media, from painting and drawing to sculpture and textiles.
Our three students who were selected from this very competitive field to have their work displayed are Hollie Everitt (Year 13), Mia Loe (Year 12) and Avni Srivastava (Year 8). Hollie’s piece was inspired by her Year 13 Art Textile Personal Project and involves free embroidery over a blue landscape. Mia and Anvi’s pieces were developed at home with Mia’s inspired by her Year 12 project on the built environment and the natural world.
