Denbigh Eid Celebrations

Denbigh Sixth Form students and staff came together to celebrate Eid-Al-Fitr and the end of Ramadan at a wonderful event held at the School on 18th May. This was the first time that we have held a social event to celebrate Eid and it was also our first in-school social gathering since the start of the Pandemic. So, it was a definitely a cause for celebration.

Students and staff decorated the school and provided the music to accompany the celebration. There were speeches on the significance of Ramadan and Eid and a first-class authentic menu served by the award winning, Saf’s Kitchen. Staff and students enjoyed spinach and potato pakoras, tandoori chicken drumsticks, Bombay fried onions, chicken tikka and a selection of delicious cakes. Everyone agreed that the food was amazing.
Such was the success of the evening we are planning on making it an annual event and we hope to be able to invite all year groups along with their families for the festivities next year.
