European Day of Languages at Denbigh School

The ‘European Day of Languages’ is celebrated across Europe every year on 26th September. To celebrate this day and our diverse Denbigh community, staff across the school volunteered to say a few words in another language that they are able to speak. Please take a look at the video and see how many languages you can identify! EDL – Languages Spoken At Denbigh.mp4

All students in Years 7 to 11 are taking part in a tutorial session this week to celebrate the importance of a multi-lingual society, looking at quizzes, videos of famous people talking in other languages and of course watching the Denbigh staff video. KS3 students are also creating a display for the MFL area which celebrates the different languages spoken by students across the school which will be completed in preparation for the Year 6 Open Evening. We certainly have a multilingual community of students here at Denbigh and hope that our prospective new students will enjoy seeing this.
