Vikki Pegg, Watling Primary’s Headteacher shared the Trust’s vision for its ground-breaking new school with prospective parents at two recent Open Evenings. Over 33 families, looking for an Early Years, Year 1 or 2 place for their child, attended the events which were hosted by Watling Academy, a fellow member of the Trust.
Vikki set out the ethos behind the new eco-friendly primary school on Simmental Way which is on-schedule for a September 2023 opening. She emphasised the school’s passion for STEM, the commitment to outdoor learning opportunities and the Forest School focus.
Vikki said of the evening ‘It was wonderful to see so many parents eager to learn about our new primary school which will have children and the local community at its heart. We are on the count down now to our opening in September 2023 and are getting closer than ever to providing an exceptional primary experience to children in the Western Expansion Area’.
